Welcome ! - The north coast |
The amber coast : The North Coast of the Dominican Republic is called the Amber Coast, because of its rich deposits of semiprecious amber. In fact, it is virtually one continuous stretch of wonderful white sand beach mostly kept in its natural state...
The North Coast is comprised of an assortment of beach towns, resorts and communities, nestled between the Atlantic and a chain of majestic coastal mountains.
To the west are Playa Dorada, Playa Long Beach, Playa Costamar and Playa Confreshi. Just east of Puerto Plata lies Playa Dorada and a bit further are Sosua and Cabarete.
