It's a normal car, like a taxi, accepting all travellers till no-one can move the smallest finger. Cheap and fun, if you are lucky you will meet nice Dominicans girls going to their job or coming back. All the conditions are there to encourage a bringing together of the people !

These are multi-passenger public cars that tend to have signs on the car roof indicating their route (for example, Puerto Plata, Rio San Juan). They will honk as they approach you and you can let them know you'd like transport by waving them over. The normal fill is 4 people in front and 4 in the back, and price is per person. To ride more comfortably, you can pay for two persons and try to get a seat to yourself.

Caro Publicos have fixed routes and fixed prices : 15 RD$ between town like Sosua - Cabarete, 25 RD$ at night (after 6 o'clock).
